Sibel Edmonds is the FBI Turkish translator who turned whistleblower. She is the most gagged person in the history of the United States.
The Justice Department twice silenced her using the rarely employed state secrets privilege. Why does the central government have “privilege” anyway? How can “we the people” run the government if we can not hear the truth.
The government as a whole, and the mainstream media, have presented a united front against her. She has been called a “kook”, a traitor, and a liar. The gag order, in itself, has confirmed to the world that she has a tale to tell about massive government corruption. We see that her story is so credible that it would embarrass Democrat and Republican alike if we were to all hear it.
Sibel’s day in court came and she was allowed to give a detailed deposition under oath in connection with a lawsuit filed in Ohio. This is the first time she has been able to tell her side of the story in an official setting. Her deposition, naming names and providing corroborating details was predictably ignored by the mainstream media but was a sensation on the blogosphere.
It led to an interview with Sibel for The American Conservative magazine. This is a must read for anyone who still believes there is any “value” in the government of the USA. Old news? Sure, but it is still a good reason to question all “official stories” and well worth remembering.
